The route search in Aerlattice considers these choices within the request’s constraints. The useful question is what each option changes and whether it addresses the finding that prompted the search.
Preserve what the request requires
Required waypoints, locked times, mission windows and aircraft limits restrict which alternatives can be considered. A detour that misses a required point or a later departure that exceeds the permitted window does not solve the planning problem.
The search explores a bounded set of candidates and compares them against objectives such as earliest arrival, shortest route and least change. Each proposed route is checked locally before being presented as an option.
Compare the effects before choosing
A reviewer needs to see the changes in distance, timing, height and radio use alongside the findings. A promising option may resolve one conflict while affecting another part of the request.
Previewing an alternative leaves the accepted plan in place. The reviewer can examine the option, edit it further or choose it for the normal approval workflow, where fresh checks assess the route against the current project.
